This year, we spent the main part of the Christmas holidays in Southern California with Dave's family. We managed to pack quite a few activities into 4 days! We drove down to Van Nuys on Sunday evening -- a drive that took slightly longer this time than in October (when Carter was only 6 weeks old). We needed to stop at a Starbucks in Bakersfield to give Carter some time out of his car seat to stretch his legs! We played checkers with Sweet 'n' Low and Splenda packets to pass the time. Dave worked on Monday and Tuesday and was able to catch a Clippers game with Bubba, BC and Mikey. Jackie had lunch with Jen downtown and got to see a movie (Four Christmases) and have dinner on the annual Koenig Girls Night Out. We had dinner on Tuesday night with Bill & Michelle before they left for Palm Springs. On Christmas Eve we went to Mass and had dinner at Dave's parent's house. Christmas was spent at the Faber house, beginning at 7am with Tommy and Alexis opening presents from Santa.
The day after Christmas, we drove back to Sacramento and headed straight to dinner at Jackie's parent's house (as her whole family was in town for the holidays). All in all, we were very blessed this year and it was wonderful to see all of our family. 2008 was an amazing year filled with highs and lows, much laughter and wonderful new experiences. We're thriled to see what 2009 has in store for us!

Carter is so cute! He is looking like more of a little baby rather than a newborn. I hope that makes sense. You guys are so on the move for having a new baby. Some parents wouldn't be so willing to try all these trips. Carter will be well traveled that's for sure!!!
